Fajr Film Festival in Iran announces jury members

Fajr Int'l Film Festival, Iran's prominent film event, unveils its jurors for various sections.

The Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF), Iran's prominent film event, has unveiled its jurors for various sections.

During a presser held on Thursday in Tehran's Milad Tower, the director of the fest, Mojtaba Amini, unveiled the jury members' names for the International, National, Eastern Vista, Resistance, and Interfaith sections. 

For the International competition, the jury includes Wu Lang, Jose Maria Lara, Sergei Dvortsevoy, Karen Avetisian, André Morgan, Ahmadreza Motamedi, and Hatef Alimardani.

The judges for the Eastern Vista are Ahmad Mojtoba Zamal and Katsumi Yanagijima, among others.

The National section of the 42nd FIFF will be judged by a panel that includes Mohammad Hadi Karimi, Pouran Derakhshandeh, Mohammad Hossein Latifi, Abdul Hamid Ghadirian, Shahab Esfandiari, Mehdi Fakhimzadeh, and Bahram Azimi.

For the Interfaith section, Abdul Sattar Yarar, Ali Hannon, and Bahman Habashi have been named as judges.

Shadi Zeidan, Walid al-Darwish, and Majid Esmaeeli will judge the Resistance section.

The 42nd FIFF is underway in Tehran and other cities and will continue until February 11, 2024.
